YouTube Premium slightly annoys me. With it, you can watch videos in the background which is useful if you’re listening to music and want to go to another app. To me, this means they could easily have included it as a free feature but they want people to pay to access it.
If you have a Google Home speaker YouTube Premium is useful to have.

Totally worth it, if you consume a lot of content on YouTube.
Like, it’s an ad-free experience, and YouTube ads can be annoying as hell sometimes, it also gives you access to premium content and is pretty decently priced. So, I think it’s worth a try.

Premium includes videos without adverts, you can have access to Youtube original shows. You can download videos for later offline playback and background play on mobile devices

It is. Especially if you are listening to too much music. With premium the good thing is, apart from having no ads, you can play YouTube in background. Which is not possible in free version.
